This notice explains how ENGINE uses personal information. We aim to follow UK GDPR privacy-by-design principles and only collect what we need.
What we collect
When you contact us, complete the technology audit or order a website: your name, business name, email, phone number, and details about your business and project. When you pay, payment is handled by our payment provider — we never receive or store your card number.
Why we use it
- To reply to your enquiry and provide the services you ask for (contract / steps before a contract).
- To send service messages about your project, such as confirmations and updates.
- To keep financial records we're legally required to keep (legal obligation).
- Marketing emails only if you've chosen to receive them — this is always optional and you can unsubscribe at any time (consent).
Who we share it with
Trusted providers that help us run ENGINE, such as hosting, email and payment providers, under data-processing terms. We don't sell your information.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that don't become projects are reviewed and removed or anonymised after a reasonable period. Client and project records are kept for the length of our relationship, and financial records for as long as the law requires.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct, export or delete your information, or object to how we use it. Email hellofoders@gmail.com. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
Security
Information is sent over encrypted connections, access is limited to authorised staff, and files are kept in private storage.
